What You'll Do:

• Handle a diverse range of high-profile work in employment litigation and traditional labor law matters in an ever-changing regulatory and legislative environment.
• Engage with a broad spectrum of clients including publicly-traded companies, middle-market firms, closely-held family businesses, nonprofits, academic institutions, and entrepreneurs, both domestically and internationally.
• Navigate complex matters before the EEOC, DOL, state and local administrative agencies, arbitration forums, and courts across the country. Tackle issues including employment and disability discrimination (Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA), harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and restrictive covenants.
• Manage traditional labor relations under the NLRA, including union organizing, collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration, strikes, and unfair labor practice charges.
• Provide strategic counseling on regulatory compliance, internal investigations, whistleblower and retaliation issues, hiring, employee discipline and termination, compensation and commission matters, and much more.
• Draft and negotiate critical employment contracts and handle sensitive matters like downsizing and mass layoffs in compliance with the WARN Act.
• Develop workplace policies and conduct in-house training focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring compliance across various regulatory frameworks.
• Advise on employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years of employment law experience, ideally with a mix of litigation and counseling experience.
• Must be admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota.
• A strong academic background is required.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
